GROUNDED

I’VE BEEN GROUNDED
THE HORROR, THE PITY, THE SHAME
IN FRONT OF MY FRIENDS
YOU’VE SULLIED MY NAME

NONE OF MY FRIENDS
HAVE BEEN GROUNDED FOR LIFE
THEY SAY IT’S NO PROBLEM
BUT THEY DON’T HAVE MY STRIFE

THEIR PARENTS ARE BETTER
TALLER, STRONGER AND NICE
I GUESS IT’S GENETIC
A ROLL OF THE DICE

THAT I GOT STUCK WITH YOU
AS A MOM AND A DAD
MY LUCK IS JUST LOUSY
NOT GOOD, JUST ALL BAD

BUT THEN, MAYBE JUST
IF I THINK ‘BOUT IT REAL
MY LIFE ON THIS EARTH
IS NOT SUCH A BAD DEAL

Grounded

GROUNDED is something we likely all remember growing up, although I remember it being mostly my brothers' fault.

And if you know my brother and ask him, just remember, his memory's shot.
