FRANK the SKINK
Hello! My name is Frank
I’m what you’d call a Skink
That’s a sort of lizard
I guess I look like what you’d think
While so many have tried
As I’m sure you will too
Although my legs are short
I’m very fast, I’ll share a clue
If you try to catch me
There’s a thing I can do
While you might not believe
I promise it’s totally true
My long tail will fall off
If you give it a yank
But it will grow right back
So I’ll still be completely Frank
If you leave me alone
I’ll stop by to say, “Hi.”
But try to catch me… well
“Adios, So Long, and Goodbye”
LISTEN TO ME READ
A friend that lives in Arkansas sent me a picture of a Skink that visits her every morning and wondered if I could write a poem about him. So here it is.
