MY RABBIT SAID

I think that I’ll eat vegetables
I’ll throw some fruit in too
They do not taste like chocolate
But I’ve heard they’re good for you

Not ‘cause my Father said I should
Or Mother, though she did
More because my rabbit does
About that I would not kid

There is a thing to figure out
I like to snack a LOT
I need my food close to me
So to see what foods I got

So Cauliflower in my ears
Broccoli in my nose
Next a needle and some thread
To sew bananas on my clothes

I need a hat upon my head
So something that, well, drapes
The choice, you know, obviously
Yes, of course, should be green grapes

I know this must sound strange to you
And silly as can be
Watermelons for my shoes
Makes sense, well, at least to me

LISTEN TO ME READ

I'm am impressed by how silly kids can be with things they think. And sometimes my brain slides right in beside them.
