SEARCH FOR A UNICORN
I met a Unicorn once
In a dream of a dream
Of course he was the most
Beautiful creature ever seen
He was just beyond my sight
‘Round a corner of cloud
I’d search until he’s found
I would not rest, of this I vowed
So sure silver skin I saw
On snowy mountain slopes
But the horn, yes, the horn
I searched my dreams, I searched my hopes
My fraughtful search came to naught
When what to my surprise
I found the Unicorn
Yet, still, in a little girl’s eye
LISTEN TO ME READ
This is a special one for me. Written for the daughter of a very good friend who asked for a poem about Unicorns.
