My dad HATES the rain
My mom says so too.
It doesn't bug me much
And probably not you.
He says rain makes things
Squishy, cold, and wet.
If he weren't so old
He'd see different, I bet.
"Let's go Puddle Jumping," says Dad
WHAT! How can that be?
As much as Dad doesn't like rain
That's how much he likes me.
Puddle Jumps
It was a wet and blustery Winter's day when I wrote PUDDLE JUMPS.
And Puddle Jumping was a favorite rainy day activity for my kids.
'Cause they got to go jump and splash in the biggest and deepest puddles they could find.
With boots on, of course.
