BADGERS AND WOMBATS

My day started out great
I saw no badger nor bear
I saw no gators or crocs
So there’s no need to beware

And the grass on my toes
Tickled and felt oh so cool
I watched for spiders and snakes
Because, well, I am no fool

Kept my eyes open wide
You know, because, just in case
Because there might be wombats
Could be all over the place

I took just one more step
And my toe caught on fire
Was it stubbed bad on a stone
Or did I trod on a briar

So to wrap this thing up
I think all peoples agrees
There’s no reason for this rhyme

EXCEPT

It’s best to NOT step on bees

LISTEN TO ME READ

This is just good advice if you're going to go barefoot. And I'm not really sure just what a Wombat is.
