BUG BOUTIQUE

Winter time is very cold
‘Specially true for a bug
I think the bug buzzzzed, “Help me!”
At my heart his words did tug

I got some tiny needles
And some little tiny thread
Then I knit a tiny hat
For his tiny little head

Some teeny tiny slippers
For his tiny little feet
It was harder than I thought
But they turned out kind of neat

Despite my bestest effort
Tiny needles did not work
They were still to big because
My stuff seemed to cause a quirk

Warm enough they seemed to be
To be sure, this would be good
Except, now my bug can’t fly
I might have… misunderstood

LISTEN TO ME READ

I was thinking about the problems a kid might have if they tried to keep a bug for a pet. Of course things are often more work than kids realize.
